The Research tab has a map to access information about repatriation persons from Algeria, Mali, Morocco and Tunisia. Field studies, statistics on return migration and agreements on readmission are provided for each country.
The Publications tab includes RDP publications and links to external documents based on RDP data.
The Projects tab links to two related projects:
- Cross-Regional Information System on the Reintegration of Migration in their Countries of Origin (CRIS). go to link An initiative funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and the European University Institute. It is aimed at addressing the factors and conditions shaping Maghrebreturnees’ patterns of reintegration in their countries of origin.
- Collective Action to Support the Reintegration of Return Migrants in their Countries of Origin (MIREM). go to link The objective of the project revolves around a more in-depth consideration of the challenges linked to return migration as well as its impact on development. Analyses and user-friendly tools have been provided to understand and identify the factors inherent in the returnees’ migratory experience, as well as those that are external to it, which shape their patterns of reintegration to the Maghreb (Algeria, Morocco, and Tunisia).

The RMD is an interdisciplinary research platform on the reality of return migration based at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, European University Institute (Florence, Italy). It promotes comparative research projects and field surveys.
