This website contains information from the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) and the ODIHR (Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights). It provides access to constitutions and criminal codes. The site can be searched by topic, including gender, migration, trafficking of human beings, hate crimes, religious freedom, and national human rights institutions.

Treaties can be searched by state, category or theme/subject matter. A search will bring up all of the information regarding treaties, protocols, ratifications and reservations. Available in French. This database contains legislation on marriage and divorce around the world. It is divided by region and country. The database includes national legislation and signed international treaties. The section on the European Union is the most complete and homogeneous. It is easy to compare EU documents with other regions.

European Database of Asylum Law (EDAL)

Available in English. EDAL is a database of legislation on asylum in EU countries. Documents can be searched by issue, law, article or country. There are also case summaries on asylum seekers, national court decisions and appeals.

World Courts

Available in English. World Courts is a search engine on human rights decisions in different courts and commissions around the world, whether regional, international or dealing with a particular conflict. It also includes recommendations of each case. You can also court decisions in cases including rape as a weapon of war (sexual violence against women during armed conflict).

Available in English. Material on asylum can be searched by country or area of refuge. There are three main categories: 1) asylum seekers; 2) case support; and 3) legal tools. This is a major database that contains documents and research on a number of themes. Specific information is available on LGBTI, female genital mutilation, and sexual violence.
