The IAC is an African regional umbrella organisation with support from UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund), UNICEF, the World Health Organisation (WHO), and the Ministry of Health of Senegal. Its mission is to further gender equality and human rights, and to promote the quality of life for African women and children by eliminating harmful traditional practices.
